In our June issue of SIMformation we caution users about the changes to the "Get Windows 10" prompt that some users of earlier Windows versions see, and how not carefully reading the options might cause your PC to upgrade to Windows 10 automatically. While we are not against Windows 10, if you have not tested it on your network first, having a Windows 7 machine suddenly upgrade might cause it to not "play nice" with your existing software if you haven't already tested Windows 10 in your environment, so look out for this change to the upgrade notice, and contact SIM2K if you want us to block this notification completely. We also discuss how some malware is evading zero-day infection prevention tools, plus look at why ransomware exploits have caused the US Congress to block some third-party e-mail services – all the more reason for clients to be concerned about ransomware. And, we offer some tips on selecting a Cloud storage vendor, with five questions you should ask before choosing an external provider over using a private Cloud storage solution.
